Design making
I was trying different designs for Logos, after settling on positive words you would like to read in a Gym. I created a design on the CAD embroidery machine. I opened the stitch out on the CAD making the stitch wide and tension lose, keeping just to two colours to keep it simple. This enabled the machine to stitch into PVC with out ripping holes in the media. I will trial this again after dying some PVC for variation .

Simple clear lines to use on the walls, gym matts and tiles
This collaboration was between illustration, textiles, animation and fine art students. All students approach the design process in a different way, it was great to use everyones key strengths in a limited amount of time to co-orinated colours lines and designs.
We screen printed our designs on calico complete with its dressing on to a 3 metre length. We created two dresses on to the fabric, deciding along the way how the dresses would drape and follow each others design across the large piece of fabric. Dressing on to half size mannequins, we decided to have our front out backs attached to give a different curve on the way the dresses draped.
